Here's 1.2.0.10 for Windows and MAC desktops. Download here for Windows and here for MAC. If you are using anti virus software please make sure that the download is marked as safe before trying to install it. The application is not signed so some anti virus software solutions will not allow it to install. We've continued to address E-VOIP. You can now make calls between Windows OS and Windows Phone, Windows OS and MAC OSX, and Windows Phone and MAC OSX. Currently the phone only supports making out going calls. The MAC OSX doesn't handle Bluetooth well. There's a bunch of dithering code that needs to be written to support up sampling from 8k to 32k. We have not been able to get a USB microphone to work at all. Using the audio jack works out great; so that's what we suggest. AEC (audio echo cancel) has not been added yet. As usual all of the communication is encrypted. All the E-VOIP/Chat traffic takes place over a peer to peer network.

Here's 1.2.0.8 for Windows and MAC desktops. Download here for Windows and here for MAC. If you are using anti virus software please make sure that the download is marked as safe before trying to install it. The application is not signed so some anti virus software solutions will not allow it to install. This drop of the code includes an much improved audio piece. The framesets have been moved from 1000 ms to 20 ms. There are also notch filters at 49-51, 59-61 and 79-81 hrz. The encoder/decoder is Speex; running at 32,000 samples per second, 16 bits per sample, one channel. There is no echo cancellation filters running. So you will have echo problems in most cases. A headset or a microphone that is not picking up the speakers are nice to have. The installer now installs both the application and the Socket Server at the same time. Windows users will most likely run into a 1001 error while updating from 1.2.0.6 or before. This is caused by the local Socket Server service not stopping during the removal process. To solve this problem use add/remove programs (found in the control panel) to remove all the Project XIII software from your system. Then install the 1.2.0.8 release. Going forward the install process will be to just download and double click on the installer. Mac users will have to start the local Socket Server if/when they want to use the chat/E-VOIP features. Each download contains a PDF file with installation instructions. Please refer to these files for more details.

Yesterday was suppose to be the release the the first alpha desktop product. We had a critical tester get sick so we had to delay a day. We are releasing an alpha version today. Please download from the downloads section. We are aware that there are lots of things wrong with the app. That's why it's an alpha; not a production release. Your patience is appreciated as we add the functionality and features to this application that we all want. Please see this section of the website for instructions on installation and use.

We were hoping to release an alpha version of the desktop application today. However, we're still having some issues with the account creation and would like to get that resolved first. The team has been hard at it and sometimes it's best to call it a day. A bug was fixed in the push notification code that now stops the owner of a message from getting multiple notifications. we're looking into the iPhone notification issue as well. Thanks for all the emails, iTunes reviews and helpful suggestions.

Apple released the iPhone application on 09/05. We are very happy with the results. There have been some issues found with the iPhone 4 regarding notifications. We are working to get these issues resolved. Please let us know of any problems that you find. It must be noted that an account is required before you can use the application. Please click on the 'Create Account' button in right hand side of the screen and fill in the user name, password and confirm password fields. Make sure to click the 'create account' button in the upper left hand corner of the screen to create your account. Once this has been successfully completed you will be returned to the login screen with the user name and password fields filled in. Check the 'Keep Me Logged In' option if you would like and start using the app.
